Pak, Malaysia enter into joint venture in Software Development Outsourcing
ISLAMABAD, Jul 20 (APP): A renowned Pakistani Software Development Company SabriTech, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia last month with icontent of Malaysia, a group of companies specialized in content development and third party product selling. This was briefed by the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of SabriTech, Irfan Najmi to the High Commissioner for Pakistan Lt. General (Rtd) Tahir Mahmud Qazi who visited Pakistan pavilion in the Software and Services Showcase started in Malaysia today and conclude on July 21, said a message received here Monday.As per MOU, both the companies will collaborate in developing Web Application, consultancy content, Bespoke, Telecom and Mobile Application. Besides, focusing on development of on shore/off shore projects, Team Outsourcing and third party Testing services.
SabriTech made the history as being the only foreign company taking part in the exhibition and also being the first Pakistan company to have entered into collaboration with Malaysian ICT company.
Other than SabriTech 150 Malaysian companies exhibited their products in the exhibition.
The Pakistan pavilion was the most visited one, and many Malaysian visitors thronged the pavilion and showed keen interest in its products.
The Malaysian Minister for IT Dato Dr Maximus Johnity Ongkili specially visited the Pakistan pavilion and appreciated the products offered by the company.
The High Commissioner for Pakistan Lt Gen (Retd) Tahir Mehmud Qazi while commenting on the MOU signed between Pakistan and Malaysian company said that this is the landmark event in the history of IT collaboration with Pakistan and Malaysia as it will opened a huge Malaysian IT market for Pakistani IT industry.
As an aftermath of signing of MOU, Sabri Tech has entered into negotiation with various Malaysian customers for providing Software Solutions which on materialization will open up new vistas of opportunities for Pakistan to make a permanent foothold in Malaysia’s developed IT market.

Malaysia And Pakistan Collaborating On IT Projects
KUALA LUMPUR, July 22 (Bernama) -- Malaysia and Pakistan are collaborating closely in the Development of Information Technology for mutual benefit, Pakistani High Commissioner to Malaysia Lt-Gen (Rtd) Tahir Mahmud Qazi said Wednesday.He told Bernama the latest collaboration was between Pakistan's SabriTech and Malaysia's iContent Berhad.
Both companies signed an MOU on Monday which would allow them to work together to develop Web Applications, consultancy content, Telecom and Mobile Applications besides focusing on the Development of on-and-off shore projects, Team Outsourcing and third-party Testing Services.
Tahir said negotiations were in progress with several Malaysian companies on various Software Solutions to be provided by the joint venture.
With such close collaboration, he hoped the IT industry, both in Pakistan and Malaysia, could develop more rapidly for the benefit of businesses and the country in general.
